Dear daughters,
My sweet, sensitive, smart, beautiful daughters. I want you to know how much I love you both. You complete my life and give me a purpose to try and be a better person and mom each and every day. I know I’m not perfect, but I am trying my very best and I hope you see that.
My two daughters: Reagan, my oldest, full of spunk and a zest to make people laugh. You are easily the center of attention with beautiful, big eyes, sandy blond hair and a smile that could brighten the darkest room. You are good at everything you put your mind and heart into. You also have an incredible sense of empathy and love for your family and friends. Don’t ever lose those traits. And Ashlyn, my sweet, smiley baby girl. I love your happy-go-lucky attitude and those pretty blue eyes, soft brown hair and round, squishy cheeks melt my heart daily. You are already so smart , strong and persistent. I just can’t wait to see what you become, but I also want to keep you small so I can hold you in my arms and let you run your tiny fingers through my hair as you fall asleep. I cherish those quiet moments.
I want you both to know how proud of you I am. Reagan, you are a wonderful big sister. I especially love the way you sing and dance for Ashlyn while I’m in the shower to keep her happy and the way you will tickle her little cheek softly just to see her smile. Ashlyn, I love how you gaze at Reagan with such adornment. Your relationship is blooming and it makes me joyful beyond comprehension that my two daughters already have an irreplaceable bond that seems to strengthen with each passing day.
Don’t ever lose that love you have for each other. It is endless and pure and the best kind of love that there is. Be there for one another through the best of times as well as the worst. Stand up for one another and be kind to each other. Your relationship will continue to flourish if you do these things, I promise.
You are both amazingly perfect just as you are. You don’t have to be what someone else wants you to be, but do be the very best YOU that you can be. People will love you for you and if they don’t then they aren’t worth your time.
